Last updated: May 7, 2026

Erudiway (“we,” “us,” or “our”) operates the website at erudiway.com and the associated study application (collectively, the “Service”). This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you use our Service. Please read it carefully. By using the Service, you consent to the practices described here.

1. Information We Collect

Information you provide directly

  • Account information: Email address and password when you create an account.
  • Payment information: Billing details processed by Stripe, Inc. We do not store full card numbers — Stripe handles all payment data under their own privacy policy.
  • Communications: Any messages you send us via email or support channels.

Information collected automatically

  • Usage data: Pages visited, questions answered, topics practiced, session duration, and performance scores.
  • Device and log data: IP address, browser type, operating system, referring URLs, and access timestamps.
  • Cookies and similar technologies: Session cookies for authentication; analytics cookies to understand usage patterns. You can disable cookies in your browser settings, though some features may not function correctly.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to:

  • Provide, operate, and improve the Service
  • Process payments and manage your subscription
  • Personalize your study experience and track your progress
  • Send transactional emails (account confirmation, password reset, billing receipts)
  • Respond to your questions and support requests
  • Detect and prevent fraud, abuse, or security incidents
  • Comply with applicable legal obligations

We do not sell your personal information. We do not use your data to train AI models.

3. Third-Party Service Providers

We share data with trusted third parties only as necessary to operate the Service:

  • Supabase: Database hosting and authentication. Your account data and study history are stored in Supabase infrastructure (US-based servers). See supabase.com/privacy.
  • Stripe, Inc.: Payment processing. Stripe stores and processes your billing information under their own privacy and security standards. See stripe.com/privacy.
  • Vercel: Website hosting and content delivery. See vercel.com/legal/privacy-policy.

We do not share your personal data with advertisers or data brokers.

4. Data Retention

We retain your account information and study data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, we will delete or anonymize your personal data within 30 days, except where we are required to retain it for legal or compliance purposes (e.g., billing records, which we retain for 7 years per accounting requirements).

5. Data Security

We implement industry-standard security measures including encrypted connections (TLS/HTTPS), row-level security on our database, and limited access controls. However, no method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure. We encourage you to use a strong, unique password and to notify us immediately at privacy@erudiway.com if you suspect unauthorized access to your account.

6. Your Rights and Choices

Depending on your location, you may have the following rights:

  • Access: Request a copy of the personal data we hold about you.
  • Correction: Request that we correct inaccurate data.
  • Deletion: Request that we delete your account and associated data.
  • Opt-out of marketing: Unsubscribe from any promotional emails via the link in each email. Note: transactional emails (receipts, account alerts) are not optional while your account is active.
  • California residents (CCPA): You have the right to know what personal information we collect, to delete it, and to opt out of its sale. We do not sell personal information.

To exercise any of these rights, email us at privacy@erudiway.com. We will respond within 30 days.

7. Children's Privacy

The Service is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child under 13 has provided us with personal information, contact us at privacy@erudiway.com and we will delete it promptly.

8. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the “Last updated” date at the top of this page and, for material changes, notify you by email or by a prominent notice on the Service. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes your acceptance of the revised policy.
